  • In the band world it is all about fundamentals and repetition. In our band we call it "Rep City". We believe that once we have established how something is to be played that we do it over and over until you can't play it wrong. In the band world rhythm and articulation are so important. We often speak our rhythms or count them out loud. We will also have them sing their parts. You can't play it if you can't speak it.

  • I have had a student (pre-service) teacher 10 times and I have been a mentor to many people in my career.
